"to the faithfully departed"

swiped the title from the cranberries. i can't even remember the context, the song or the lyrics. lol. anyway,

i've decided to move on. http://shalom621.blogspot.com/
this xanga blog has served me well, but i feel that i need a change.

"so long, and thanks for all the fish". and remember, it's 42.

I may be moving on to another blog: http://shalom621.blogspot.com/ I can type Chinese characters on blogspot. Xanga doesn't seem to support the programme I use. But we'll see how it goes. If I do switch, I'll have to bother people (Bhavani, pretty please -blink-) to teach me how to include things like the CBox.

Would anyone like to join me for this concert? Vic and I went to last year's and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. There was this 9 or 10 year-old harpist who came on and left stage with such a cheeky grin but played so beautifully-I hope he will be participating in this year's concert again.
There are 2 dates-29th and 30th November, though I suspect the first one's a charity gala or something like that-you know, for corporate sponsors.
Tickets are priced at $30, $20 and $15. (There's student concession or a group discount for a minimum purchase of 4 tickets.)

my inadequacies

i like discussions, but i'm terrible at presentations.

Wow, it's been a month.

I've never titled the 'poetry' I write. I don't quite know how to come up with nice, creative, brilliant-sounding titles and in any case, these are more like journal entries than 'poems'. And this one's not complete too. So anyway, here's:

21st September 2006, 8:21a.m.

Plugging in and
 pulling out, they are
 creating a myspace
as the train rocks
   toward home.

Pulling out and
 plugging in, their eyes
 too intently focused --
their own hands and actions
 and then, back
to the glass or the
ad overhead or even
the shoes feet belong to.
